Brazil is blessed with immense wind resources along its vast coastline, offering a new source of clean, affordable and reliable energy that can generate green jobs and support economic development.
Global offshore wind developer Corio Generation, working alongside Brazilian renewables developer Servtec Energia, is aiming to develop multiple offshore wind projects in Brazil, totalling up to 6 GW.
Corio has registered five fixed-bottom proposed wind farms in the country’s north-eastern, south-eastern and southern maritime areas, each around 1.2 GW in size.
Five Brazilian offshore wind projects:
· Costa Nordeste Offshore Wind, North-east coast
· Vitoria Offshore Wind, South-east coast
· Guarita Offshore Wind, South coast
· Cassino Offshore Wind, South coast
· Rio Grande Offshore Wind, South coast
